Sumboard connects to PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, MariaDB, MongoDB and REST API sources. The query runs against your own tables at request time, so how fresh a figure is depends on your source and on the cache TTL you set for that dashboard.

We use industry-standard encryption in transit. Sumboard queries your data sources rather than copying them, and keeps no copy beyond cached results, which are removed when the TTL you set runs out. We implement role-based access controls and token authentication, and the platform inherits our hosting provider's certifications and standards: ISO 27001, SOC 1 and SOC 2, and GDPR. Our servers are hosted in Europe, on OVH, and we have no access to your data or dashboards unless you share them with us for support.

Your data remains in your existing systems. Sumboard only queries your data to build the dashboards.
